In other words, what is it about the man Jesus of Nazareth that would identify him as the Messiah prophesied in the Old Testament? The course booklet is $5 and can be obtained from Gail Hatcher before class or you can wait and obtain your copy at the first meeting. The Gospel of Matthew: How to be the Church
The Gospel of Matthew has been called the "Church's Book". It has influenced the way the church has been formed perhaps more than any other book of the Bible. Over the course of 10 weeks, we will study how community is formed and guided in Matthew. We will study themes of Messiah, turmoil, Kingdom of God, and others in order to see how these influenced the early church. The only required book for this class is the Bible.
