We want to be your HELPING HANDS
Are you unable to complete simple, everyday tasks? There is a small group of volunteers in our church who are willing to change a light bulb, go to the store, or do light maintenance.
If you have no family members available to help, please call Gail Hatcher in the church office at 494-3455, ext. 230 to schedule a visit by one of these volunteers, and one of the HELPING HANDS will call you to schedule an appointment time.
Coker's DIAL-A-PRAYER 210-979-2654
The top ten reasons for dialing Coker’s Dial-A-Prayer:
10. Because my best friend from Sunday School taped the one for Tuesday, and I promised I would call and listen.
9. Because it has no calories.
8. Because it’s free.
7. Because if I don’t find something to calm me down, I’m going to kick the dog.
6. Because I feel uncomfortable praying on my own.
5. Because it’s a great way to start my daily devotion.
4. Because God likes to talk to His children regularly.
3. Because I love the Lord and want to get closer to Him.
2. Because a day wrapped in prayer is less likely to unravel.
1. Because prayer can change my life.
Paul exhorts the Christians in the church of Thessalonica to “be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thes. 5:16-17) Sometimes we put up barriers to prayer - we’re too busy - we’re not in the mood - we don’t know how to start. Dial-A-Prayer is a wonderful tool to focus our hearts and minds on our daily walk with Jesus.
When someone you know is hurting, it may be difficult to share the right words of comfort. A hug, a card, and the phone number for Dial-A-Prayer can encourage and comfort. Use this wonderful ministry for yourself and others. You will be enriched on your spiritual journey.
