The vision of Children’s Ministries is to plant the seeds of Christian love, to offer ways of nurturing children to grow, not only physical but spiritually. In order to make these seeds grow, Children’s Ministries provides many opportunities for children, nursery thru 5th grade, and their families. We want children to know that God loves them and that they can have fun as they discover His love.
Coker UMC offers many opportunities for Christian growth. Sunday School meets at 9:30 AM and offers classes for two-year-olds through high school. In addition, there are many weekly and special events. Contact Cheryl Kendall, the Director of Children's Ministries, at 210.494.3455 Ext. 1227 for more information on any of these opportunities.

Coker's nursery offers extra special care to our littlest angels. Your little ones are welcomed into our nursery by our wonderful staff of caregivers. They are loved and nurtured while in our care. We run background checks on all of our caregivers as well as reference checks. We have a child/youth safety policy in place that requires 2 workers at all times. We want you, the parent, to feel safe and comfortable leaving your child with us.
Child care is provided for Saturday and Sunday worship services, Emmaus, Bible studies, adult choir, AA, Families of AA, S-ANON, and a variety of other events. You can fill out our online Nursery Request Form to make reservations. You are welcome to come by to meet our nursery staff. We are here to serve you.
During services in the Sanctuary, a cry room is available for parents of young children. This room, at the back of the Sanctuary, allows you to see and hear the service without worrying about disturbing those around you.

Dive Deeper…Grow Stronger

Mission Possible Kids
Mission Possible Kids a.k.a. MP Kids are 4th and 5th graders. This program is all about empowering kids to actually change the world. Through MP Kids they become more than “just kids”. They become “special agents doing God’s work,” a calling they will take pride in, and an identity you will want to reinforce again and again. We usually meet the 3rd Sunday of each month for our “mission” to serve others. It is never too late to join.
Coker Kids’ Club
A night of fun, food, friends and fellowship. Kids’ Club is offered every other month during the school on a Friday night from 6:00pm-9:00pm and the cost is $5; this is for ages 1 year-5th grade.
