Coker Early Learning Center which is a private program, rich in its 56 year tradition is currently accepting applications for the following:
Seeking an exceptional individual who is passionate about children and their learning to join our staff. The successful candidate as well as the Assistant Teacher will be responsible to work in collaboration to integrate scholastic and cognitive goals while facilitating child-led and inquiry-based projects for 16 students in an environment that is welcoming, inspiring, and enriching. The Kindergarten Teacher will direct the execution of the curriculum, extend passion and knowledge of the instructional academic content, cultivate habits of virtue in the students, and remain dedicated to the program's mission.
This part time position has a maximum of 33 hours per week and begins with Teacher Preparation Week, August 28-September 1, 2017, as the new school year begins September 5, 2017.
Four year College degree required. Early Childhood Education degree preferred. Must be qualified to teach ECE in Texas.
Training will be discussed during the interview process. Salary will range from $16.00-$20.00 per hour based on experience.
Preschool Music Teacher:
The successful candidate will introduce children 12 months to kindergarten to the wonderful world of music by singing songs, playing instruments, etc. The Director and Music Teacher will work together as a team for the children's programs which include: The Fall Program, The Christmas Program, and the End of Year Program.
This position is part time with a maximum of 16 hours per week. The position begins with Teacher Preparation Week, August 28-September 1, 2017, as the new school year begins September 5, 2017.
Rate of pay will be based on experience and training will be discussed during the interview process.
Substitute Preschool Teacher:
This important role in the preschool provides a Substitute Teacher the opportunity to work with a classroom teacher from 8:15-3:00 in a low ratio classroom. A successful candidate shows compassion, joy, flexibility, creativity, and dedication to the program mission. Are you able to meet the needs of children? Do you have the ability to maintain a loving environment that includes but is not limited to- safety, supervision, assisting in a consistent routine, possible diapering, and can communicate extremely well with young children, parents, and members of the CELC staff? Then this may be the position for you!
This position is part time and will begin with Teacher Preparation Week , August 28-September 1, 2017, as the new school year begins September 5, 2017.
Rate of pay will be $9.50 per hour and training will be discussed during the interview process.

Lead Nursery Worker- Part-time (15-18 hours per week)
Responsible for providing high quality care in our nursery for infants and children. Applicants must be patient with a calming and loving ability to handle various situations and enjoy working with children ages 3 months up to eleven years of age. Looking for an applicant who enjoys sharing Jesus’s love through storytelling, crafts, games, etc. Previous experience with children is desired. Applicants must be 18 years or older to apply with the ability to work a set schedule Sunday through Thursday. Please see schedule below for hours.
