Beginning with the 2011-12 school year, Coker UMC will offer a unified weekday program with a new name:  Coker UMC Early Learning Center!  Building on the long, rich history and excellent reputations of both the Coker Mother’s Day Out and Coker Day School, this program will continue to offer early education to children ages 12 months through Kindergarten in a loving, Christian setting.  For summer 2011, three 3-week sessions will be offered.

Coker UMC Early Learning Center offers:
  • Loving, experienced staff members who attend at least 15 hours of continuing education each year and are certified in First Aid and CPR
  • Director licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, who receives at least 20 hours of continuing education each year and is certified in First Aid and CPR
  • Extended hours: 8:30 a.m.-9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. for an additional fee
  • Chapel, Fitness, and Music for all classes
  • Special events and holiday parties throughout the year
  • Low teacher/student ratios; teacher assistants
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Optional drop off/pick up lane for children 3 years of age or older
  • Developmentally appropriate activities for each age group


Offerings:

Mother’s Day Out - 12 months up to 3 years of age (based on age as of September 1, 2011):
  • 9:00-3:00: choose any number and combination of days
 
Preschool - ages 3 years through 5 years of age (based on age as of September 1, 2011).   Afternoon Enrichment is an option to extend the child’s day until 3:00.  During Afternoon Enrichment, the children have lunch and rest time, enjoy outdoor playtime, play board games and learning games, enjoy story time, do “free” and seasonal art activities, and “center time” in the classroom.  Specific offerings for age levels are:
  • 3-year-olds:
    • 9:00-12:00   Tuesday/Thursday
    • 9:00-12:00   Monday/Wednesday/Friday
    • 9:00-12:00   Monday through Friday
    • 12:00-3:00   Optional Afternoon Enrichment; choose any combination of days to extend your child’s day after preschool
  • 4-year-olds:
    • 9:00-12:00   Tuesday/Thursday
    • 9:00-12:00   Monday/Wednesday/Friday
    • 9:00-12:00   Monday through Friday
    • 12:00-3:00   Optional Afternoon Enrichment; choose any combination of days to extend your child’s day after preschool
  • Pre-Kindergarten (“Gift of Time”):  a specially designed class for children who are 5 years old on September 1 but will not attend Kindergarten
    • 9:00-12:00   Monday through Friday
    • 12:00-3:00   Optional Afternoon Enrichment; choose any combination of days to extend your child’s day after Pre-Kindergarten
  • Kindergarten - Child must be 5 years of age by September 1, 2011
    • 9:00-3:00     Monday/Wednesday/Friday AND
    • 9:00-12:00   Tuesday/Thursday
    • 12:00-3:00   Optional Afternoon Enrichment; offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays to extend your child’s day after Kindergarten

 

 

Fees:

Registration Fee: $100 for first child; $50 for each additional sibling (due at enrollment; non-refundable)
 
Mother's Day Out Tuition (9:00 - 3:00): Yearly fee divided into 9 equal payments, September through May*:
  • $95 per month for one day a week
  • $190 per month for two days a week
  • $285 per month for three days a week
  • $380 per month for four days a week
  • $475 per month for five days a week
Preschool Tuition (9:00 - 12:00): Yearly fee divided into 9 equal payments, September through May*:
 
        •  3s T/Th $140 per month
        •  3s M/W/F $180 per month
        •  3s Monday - Friday $235 per month
        •  4s T/Th $150 per month
        •  4s M/W/F $200 per month
        •  4s Monday - Friday $250 per month
        •  Pre-Kindergarten $260 per month
        •  Kindergarten $375 per month









  • Afternoon Enrichment (12:00 - 3:00):
    • $35 per month for one afternoon per week
    • $70 per month for two afternoons per week
    • $105 per month for three afternoons per week
    • $140 per month for four afternoons per week
    • $175 per month for five afternoons per week
    • $10 per session drop-in fee, space permitting
Early Birds      $3.00 per use, 8:30 - 9:00 AM
Extended Care  $3.00 per use, 3:00 - 3:30 PM
 
*NOTE: One half of the first month's tuition is due no later than June 10, 2011.  This is a non-refundable fee and will be applied to your September tuition payment.
