Confirmation is Every Sunday evening from 6:00-7:30 pm
with dinner the 1st Sunday of every month at 5:30 in the gym - cost $3

Coker United Methodist Student Ministry exists to provide opportunities for youth to become a Christian family that worships God, is instructed in ways that promote Christ like actions and is encouraged to be the hands and feet of Christ by reaching out and sharing God's message with others.
The confirmands began Sunday School on Sunday, August 22 in Annex 3 (the portable building by the John Gibbs building.) I would like to encourage each confirmand to come to Sunday School whether or not they have attended Sunday school before. For the time being this class will consist of only 6th graders, however, if we see the attendance being low, we will combine them with the 7th & 8th graders.
Confirmation will begin on Sunday, September 12. Dinner will be at 5:30 (cost $3) in the gym and then they'll go to the Upper Room in the John Gibbs building at 6:00 pm for community worship with the youth group. At 6:30 pm, parents will go to the Chapel for a parent meeting. At this meeting we'll go over the new look we have for confirmation this year, including the calendar, what they will be experiencing during the course and retreat information. The retreat is tentatively planned for October 1st - 3rd (the place hasn't been confirmed). Since the place hasn't been confirmed, the cost hasn't been determined. The evening will end at 7:30 pm.
We mailed a letter the beginning of August that included a medical form and registration card. Please make sure to retrun those to forms as soon as possible, if you want your child to participate in confirmation.
