Spiritual Enrichment at Coker

Goals:
- To increase awareness of various ways to grow spiritually
- To provide opportunities for people to grow spiritually
Plans/Activities to help fulfill goals:
- Offer opportunities for people to experience prayer while walking the labyrinth.

- Offer opportunities to pray at prayer stations on our campus.
- Sponsor a women's weekend retreat on April 16 - 18.
- Sponsor a half-day prayer workshop in the summer.
- Sponsor a spiritual gifts class in the fall during the week.
- Provide Advent devotional booklets for the congregation.
- Provide Lenten devotional booklets for the congregation in 2011.
- Connect with conference and other spiritual formation programs beyond Coker by providing information for these events.
- Prayer Vigils - Organize vigils for evangelism efforts or prayer observances on specific dates and occasions such as Vacation Bible School, Back to School, mission trips, etc.

- Dial-a-prayer Phone Line
Volunteers record prayers of hope and encouragement daily that can be heard by phoning 979-2654. Business Cards with the phone number are available to give to family and friends.
- Joining Hearts Prayer Team
People pray regularly for the pastors, staff and their families, ministry areas, studies, Sunday school classes, committees, church lay leaders, and other specified groups. Prayer concerns and celebrations are e-mailed to anyone who asks to be included.
- Prayer Focus Bookmarks
Book marks printed in the Courier each month can be cut out and used as a focus for prayer times.
