Coker Kids

The vision of Coker Kids is to plant the seeds of Christian love, to offer ways of nurturing children to grow, not only physical but spiritually. We want children to know God loves them and that they can have fun as they discover His love. Watching the seeds grow in the children is an amazing journey!

A Mom & Daughter Bible Study: God’s Brave Girl | Beginning March 18th (Ends April 29th)
Weekly, Thursdays 5:30-7 PM | Hybrid- In-Person & Via Zoom

Girls are being told to be brave—to live confidently and make choices that are brave for their world. Yet, young girls need to understand why they can live bravely in the context of who God is and who He created them to be. Living a brave life means living a life of faith and trust in God, boldly following where He leads. In this Mother & Daughter Bible Study, moms and daughters are invited to learn, together, what a life in faith and trust in God looks like. Moms can be equipped to continue to remind their daughters to be brave in Christ. This class is led by Brittney Knight and Emily Roberts (both will be joined by their daughters). March 18th will be a “Welcome” Tea Party for moms and daughters, followed by the class start date of March 25th. Each Thursday 5:30-6 PM will be for a light meal and fellowship and the class time will be 6-7 PM). The cost of the class is $12 and that is payable when you register. The Zoom link and/or in-person meeting location will be e-mailed to you.

Registration is now closed. Contact Cheryl with any questions!

On June 9, 2018, a new Child, Youth, and Vulnerable Adult safety policy and accompanying procedures went into effect for ALL Rio Texas Churches (including Coker UMC). Every adult who works with children, youth, and/or vulnerable adults (Staff, Volunteer, Clergy, or Lay) must be certified through the new TRUSTed con Confianza certification process. This includes, but not limited to, those who volunteer with the food pantry, Eagle Pass, ERT, mission trips etc.  If you fall into any of these categories please contact Cheryl Kendall, for more information to get trained.
